Winooski Footbridge Towers Stand Tall

There was a lot of excitement on February 19th as skilled ECI workers and GMC bridge crew erected and carefully aligned the 40-foot-tall steel towers into place on the banks of the Winooski River in Bolton.

Matt Wels, GMC bridge project manager, and his crew Kurt Melin, Sam Parisi and Pat O’Brien have worked hard to prepare the site for this day. Thanks to all of their hard work and attention to every last detail, the process went smoothly.  We are one step closer to fulfilling the100-year-old dream of the Long Trail crossing the Winooski on its very own footbridge.
