The Hungry Heart in Montpelier March 18, 6:00 – 8:00
“The Hungry Heart”, is a documentary film by Bess O’Brien, focusing on Vermont addiction to prescription drugs. The film is about real teens and their families in not-so-far-away St. Albans.
Governor Shumlin has promoted this film in his recent State of the State Address and will support showing the film in high schools throughout the state. The central Vermont community is welcome to attend the next viewing:

Dealing with prescription drug addiction has become a huge problem in Vermont and is affecting schools, families, children, and crime rates in many of our communities.
It will be beneficial to see the film before the Community Forum which is being scheduled for April. Date TBA.
