Job Development:
•Research local employment resources for open positions for clients and post on the VWW Job Bank
•Assist with outreach to local employers to connect them with Transitional Jobs Program
•Assist with management of employer contact database
•Attend weekly Creative Workforce Solutions meetings as needed
Training Assistance
•Develop job training handouts and activities
•Research team building activities for classroom setting
•Assist program coordinators with individual client counseling as appropriate
•Assist with program outreach and recruitment activities as needed
Other
•If timing permits, assist with coordination of a Transitional Jobs Graduation Ceremony
•Occasional general office assistance (data entry copying, phones, etc.)
Part-time opportunity
Location: North Main Street, Barre, VT
Requirements: Applicants must be incoming juniors, seniors or graduate students studying public policy, social work, human services, education or related field. Must have excellent work ethic, problem solving ability and be highly organized. Requisite skills include: proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to follow through with projects to completion, strong internet research skills, good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
