Derby Head Start
Description: Assist Teachers in the classroom, under the Teacher and Center Manager's supervision. Teachers will have activities for the volunteer to implement with the children. Volunteer needs to direct any concerns to Teachers. Classroom consists of 14 preschoolers, ages 3, 4, and 5. We assist the classroom in following a scheduled routine of free play, structured circle time, art activites, gross motor play. Applicant will need to pass a back ground check. Time commitment would be 8:00am - 11:30am.
Location: 55 Main St., Derby, Vermont
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Reliable, dependable. Prefer someone who has had experience in a classroom or day care setting. Willing to take guidance and instruction from Teachers in the classroom. We use positive guidance in the classroom, encourage and teach problem solving.
