The FEAST Senior Meals program is currently seeking a volunteer greeter for Friday mornings, 11:30am-1:45pm.

FEAST Senior meals program offers healthy, delicious meals to Montpelier area seniors through week day home meal deliveries and biweekly communal meals at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center. The FEAST team is dedicated to creating a welcoming, friendly, positive atmosphere while providing nourishing community centered meals. A large part of creating this atmosphere is credited to our volunteer greeters.

Greeters are FEAST hosts that welcome community members to the bi-weekly meals held at the Center. They welcome all guests to the meals; accepting cash payments from community members and visitors while recording guest and Center member visitors. In addition to handling the cash from these events, greeters help disperse and collect FEAST visitor surveys, coordinate monthly Birthday Social events, and are the link between the FEAST dining room and FEAST’s staff.

If the idea of working with people, welcoming then and making them feel at home is appealing to you, you would be a perfect FEAST greeter! Greeters should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, sitting or standing for periods of time, and in performing multiple roles during a shift. Above these qualities; greeters should be “people-persons”, friendly, welcoming, and excited about the opportunity to work with others.

If this describes you, we’d love to hear from you! Learn more about the FEAST program by going on our website:
