Matt Paradise – American Consumer Credit Counseling
How can we become equipped to be better consumers – both for yourself and for the clients or peers you serve? This workshop will describe relevant legislation such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and The CARD Act, which are designed to protect consumers from harmful financial services practices. It also will cover identity theft and fraud — how it occurs, preventative techniques, and fraud resolution.
