In this season of thankfulness and goodwill, I begin to think about our community and how we can make the New Year better for all. Providing resources to those community organizations that take the time to identify pressing needs and develop strategies to resolve them is one way we can all help.
The Green Mountain United Way is one such organization which has an active roster of activities in Caledonia, Essex and Orleans counties. The United Way partners with many local organizations to support the community. Their active involvement in solutions designed to improve basic financial literacy, healthy living practices, early childhood learning and basic subsistence needs helps to build a strong foundation for the people of our area. Please also consider making a donation to Green Mountain United Way in honor of loved ones instead of buying them Christmas gifts that they may not really need.
